The Carbon Air 2 features two key improvements: the internal lining designed with 3 separate panels that offer greater freedom of movement while reducing weight, and the single-piece construction that gives the suit a better fit.

Carbon Air 2, like the original Carbon Air, has horizontal carbon bands integrated into the fabric. These integrated bands limit the compression at a critical point to provide compression over very large areas. The result is a lighter form of intelligent compression with the comfort of a second skin;
The Carbon Air 2's inner lining is made up of three separate panels that offer greater freedom of movement. In men's jammers, this reduces pressure on the hips and improves flexibility around the hip flexors. With a smaller inner lining, the suits are lighter and absorb less water, reducing drag and improving glide.
Made from a single piece of fabric, the Powerskin Carbon Air 2 features a single heat-sealed seam at the lower back, offering maximum comfort and reducing any potential restriction of movement, as there are fewer pressure points on the body. Furthermore, the absence of multiple seams means the suit absorbs less water, resulting in reduced drag and an advanced hydrodynamic effect that helps the swimmer glide effortlessly through the water. It's also easier to put on, creating a second-skin feel once slipped on.
